50% of All Entry-Level Jobs at Risk from AI, Says CEO
Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic (maker of Claude AI), warns that AI will massively disrupt white-collar jobs—and soon. New AI models like Claude 4 are getting smarter very quickly.
Companies are already privately planning to use AI instead of human workers. AI is now at the level of a “smart college student”, says Amodei.
In fact, OpenAI’s CEO Sam Altman reportedly warned that up to 70% of jobs could be automated. Altman admits society will change drastically but says we’ll find “new things to do.”
Up to 50% of entry-level jobs could disappear in 1–5 years.
Unemployment may rise to 10–20% (from 4.2% today).
The public and lawmakers aren’t prepared for what’s coming.
