Google Makes Its Premium AI Tools Free for Students — All Year Long (Source)

Google is offering students free access to Gemini Advanced, its premium AI subscription that usually costs $20 a month. This offer comes through the Google One AI Premium Plan, and students who sign up by June 30, 2025 will get free access all the way through spring 2026.

This move is part of a growing trend—OpenAI also recently offered US students free access to ChatGPT Plus during finals. But Google’s offer stands out because it lasts a full year.

What Do Students Get with Gemini Advanced?

Gemini Advanced unlocks Google's best AI features, many of which are perfect for students. Here’s what you can use:

• Gemini in Docs, Sheets, and Slides: Get AI help writing papers, analyzing data, or building presentations—all inside the tools you already use every day.
